Dear people!

From 31/12/2010 until 8/2/2011 I visited Brasil, doing a very special internship!

- playing the traditional forro music
- teaching accordion to farmer
children in a small village
- singing about Jesus' love
- meeting very interesting people
- tourism ;)

This great trip took me from the beach of Recife to the Brasilian rural area, without hot water, eating rice and beans all days, living without internet and mobile phone.

With the accordion all doors opended, because the music I played was the heart of people's culture.
Many people got to know the grace of God, dying for us to give us life, just listening the music.

Children were very happy to learn some accordion or guitar.
Video lessons will be send to them, so that they'll be able to continue learning.

Many beautiful people I met.
Musicians who used to play with the great of Brasil for 1000 euros per concerts, but were now using their great talent to play music paying even for their travels. Just because they wanted to share the Love they met.

Betty Smit was one of the most remarkable persons I met. With 25 years of age she went alone into terrifying jungle of the amazones, in a little boat, because she believed God sent her to tell his message to the indians living there. It's a miracle, that she is still alive. Her trust in God was a great encouragement to me!

Hoi! In een woord: geweldig! Ik heb net het boek over Betty Smit gelezen. Bijzonder dat je haar hebt ontmoet. Ik heb wat foto's van de workshops opgeslagen en je verslagje. Dit kan ook in Europa gedaan worden... Zegen!
